Frequently asked questions
How can I find a job on Smallwork?
Open the Jobs page and search for the work you want to do. Use the country, city, category and budget filters to narrow the listings. Read each job's description, location, posted budget and status before applying. Listings are supplied by users or identified as template-generated examples; always confirm the details with the employer.
How can I post a job on Smallwork?
Use Post a Job to describe the work, select a category, add a location and set a budget. You can use your employer account or the guest posting form. Include clear requirements and an accurate description so workers can decide whether the opportunity fits them. Do not include passwords or sensitive identity documents in a public listing.
How can I hire a worker?
Post a job and review the applications you receive, or browse worker profiles and their listed skills. Check the profile's verification status and any available reviews rather than assuming every worker is verified. Agree on the work, price and timing with the worker directly. Smallwork does not guarantee a worker's availability or the outcome of a job.
Is Smallwork free, and how do workers get paid?
Browsing jobs, posting a job and applying for work are free on Smallwork. Employers and workers arrange payment for the work directly; the platform does not hold those payments in escrow. Confirm the amount, payment method and completion conditions before starting. Avoid paying an upfront fee merely to obtain a job, and never share passwords or banking access codes.
How do I create a worker profile and apply for a job?
Create an account with the worker role and add accurate profile details, skills, location and a description of the work you can do. Sign in, open a job listing and submit your application with a relevant cover note. The employer can review the application. Creating a profile or applying does not guarantee acceptance, work or payment.
Which countries and job categories does Smallwork support?
The Jobs page offers country and city filters and categories such as skilled trades, home services, education and tutoring, IT, and transport and delivery. Available listings vary over time, and a supported filter does not guarantee a current job in every city. Select your country and category to see the listings currently available on the platform.
How can I find jobs or workers near me?
Choose your country and city in the job filters, or search using a location you provide. Review the location shown on each listing or worker profile and confirm travel or remote-work arrangements directly. Smallwork does not automatically know your position and does not guarantee that a worker is nearby, available, or suitable for your task.
