How to Write a Clear Smallwork Job Posting
Help workers assess your job with an accurate title, scope, location and budget.
Describe the task, not just the role
Use a specific title such as 'Repair a leaking kitchen tap' rather than 'Worker needed'. In the description, explain what needs doing, the expected result, when the work is needed, and whether materials or equipment are supplied. Do not invent experience or qualifications merely to attract applicants.
Set an accurate location and budget
Choose the country, location and closest category in the posting form. State travel expectations or remote arrangements in the description when relevant. Explain what the posted budget covers and any conditions that affect the final amount. Do not describe a one-off task budget as an annual salary.
Choose how to receive responses
Employer accounts can review worker applications. Guest posting provides direct contact options. Use only contact information you intend to share through the guest post, and never place passwords, identity documents or banking access details in the description. Close a listing when it is no longer available.
